The little camping trip wiki I viewed was cute, produced at about my level of understanding. My first thought was that this would be great for planning my summer cousins' trip. There are four of us who have gotten together for three summers in a row for a long weekend. One problem has been communication as we live in four states : Utah, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and South Carolina. Phone calls have been difficult, emails are okay, but some don't check it often, so a Wiki could be the answer.
As far as school goes I think this could be really helpful for collaboration at school. We have been meeting'd to DEATH this year, but there is seldom time for real collaboration. A wiki could be more convenient and we wouldn't have to meet. At my school we have been encouraged to collaborate with teachers from other schools, but again schedules seldom mesh--so here's a place for wiki to step in. The summer book club example causes me to think of using it as a assignment for my students to share books. I'm looking forward to reading other ideas.
